You asked for it

So some of you have been asking questions and I am all about sharing this great information with you. When the New Year rolled around I was still up from where I wanted to be after having Ezra so I decided to join Weight Watchers. Some people are so shy about admitting this I have found but I LOVED the program and am not one bit ashamed that I needed some assistance getting rid of the baby weight.

You can do Weight Watchers online or you can go to the meetings. I chose the meetings because I need the accountability each week of stepping on a scale in front of someone else and then having someone else write down the number. That was real motivation!

I have had friends from AZ asking me what I eat, etc so this post if for you girls and anyone else who is interested.

Below is a picture of some things that have become "staples" in our house.

Here is a list below:
Sara Lee Classic 100% Whole Wheat Bread (1 point per slice)
Lean Smoked Turkey (1 point per serving)
Weight Watchers Pre-measured cheese (2 points)
The Laughing Cow Light Cheese Wedges (1 point)
Voila Dinners (range from 4-6 points per serving) add an extra bag of veggies (0 points) great dinner!
Kozy Shack Rice Pudding (no sugar added)(1.5 points)
Diet Coke (0 points!!)
Light & Fit Smoothies by Dannon (1 point)
Fiber One Granola Bars (2 points) 9 grams of fiber!!!!
Smart Ones Quesadillas (4 points) very yummy!
The Alternative Bagel by Western Bagel (1 point) I am addicted to these and always hav a stock on hand. They are great for making a sandwich.
Mini Bags of Kettle Corn (1 point)

These are just a few of the things that I love and I really don't feel like I have sacrificed anything important to me. It was just about getting me to THINK before I eat and to make better choices. I realized how much I was eating and not realizing it (especially being home with the kids).

Of course exercise is important but for me that was something that was easy and I was just shorting myself because I would go to the gym and work out really hard but then I would just eat all my hard work. Now workouts are way more beneficial and I feel better.

In all I started Weight Watchers and went for 6 weeks and lost 13 pounds. I am up about 3 right now but now that I have posted this I will put my old effort back into it!

I could go on and on but I won't!

Sorry this is so long I know you will email if you have questions =)

You're inspiration to me. I didn't think you had any weight to loose. I'm feeling that baby weight just doesn't ever leave. I'm inspired to work harder. I would LOVE to lose 13 lbs. Good for you!

P.S. What songs did people tell you to get updated on? I am a little behind too, and need some running tunes. (i'll email you)

I am glad I am not the only one struggling on the weight thing. You look so great. I need to try that, I am just horrible at getting motivated. I feel like if I just keep waiting it will fall off... but nope! Thanks for sharing.

Hi, Just checking in...thanks for adding me to your private blog. I didn't realize I was added until tonight. I do enjoy checking in on you. You are amazing. I would write the list of why you are amazing but it would take hours. Just know that you are awesome and inspiring. I love your hard work.

Good for you, I had a little bit harder time losing weight after baby #2 I just ran my guts out and biked a lot and it finally came off but I am dreading baby weight after #3 fortunately I haven't gained as much this time so maybe it wont be too bad. Love weight watchers, I've seen so many success from it.

My mother-in-law swears by this program because it really teaches people about portion size. This is good to know for when I'm done with baby #2.

I am a huge fan of Weight Watchers too! My only problem is I waste all my points on sweets--then I'm starving. I need more will power! Good for you! And thank you thank you for all of your advice about the marathon. I am soooo excited!

Oh gosh! I wish I had such control! I've been trying to do better, so I think I'll try some of your suggestions. And, I clicked on the pic to blow it up and was laughing at Trevi in the background! She's so cute!
