I had to blog about Ezra's first bath because it was a long time coming and I do love giving my babies baths when they are so little. For the first two weeks he could not bath because of his cord and then he was circumcized and he couldn't bath for two weeks after that so the poor kid had to wait until he was a month old before he could have a real bath. He really loved it until he got out, that is why he has the binkie. He is getting to be such a cute little guy. He is smiling and getting to be so much fun! More pictures to come.

Painted Toes

The other day I was getting ready to paint my toes and Trevi said she wanted hers done. So I painted her toes and then when it was time to do mine she wanted to do it for me. I resisted my intial impulse to say no and let her give it a go. As you can see she did a great job. Nothing a little nail polish remover can't fix and she was so proud of her work!

The Pool is Open

Yesterday was the first day of the year that we officially swam in our pool! Thanks to unusually warm weather last week the pool has now reached 70 degrees which is a respectable temperature for swimming. I think it is still a little too cold but the weather is great and Trevi does not seem to bothered a bit by it. We are looking forward to having friends over for swimming. Today we went to the campus swimming pool and it was so nice to lay by the pool and it makes Trevi extra tired which makes for a great nap! Here is to swimming for the next 6 or 7 months!!

Tuesday Heather came over and took pictures for Ezra's announcement. There are so many that I love and it was hard to choose which one I am going to use. There are a sampling of some really great ones. If any of you are ever in Phoenix and looking to get some amazing pictures taken just let me know and I can point you in Heather's direction. You can see more of her photography at http://www.littlethingsphotography.smugmug.com/.

The Second Time Around

I must say the second time around makes for a much easier recovery. I am surpised at how quickly I started feeling better. Ezra and Trevi are doing good and we are just chillin at home for the most part. I am feeling the urge to get moving and am looking forward to running again. Hope you enjoy the new pictures.

Ezra Bradley Jones

Baby Ezra is finally here! After being called in to the hospital and then told to wait we finally got in at 7:30 pm on Tuesday,February 27th. The hospital was so busy and they finally got me started around 10:30 pm and he came at 4:16 a.m. on Wednesday, February 28th. Ryan was able to deliver with the help of the doctor and it was an awesome experience. It was all strangely calm and much easier than it was with Trevi. My parents and brother,Braden, almost didn't make it in time to see him be born. It all worked out perfectly in the end. Ezra weighed in at 8 pounds 10 ounces and 21-1/2 inches. That is crazy because he is one week earlier than Trevi was and still bigger! He is so great so far. He sleeps all the time and I have to wake him up to eat. He is even a good nurser so far. Ryan and I love him so much and can't believe what an amazing blessing he is. It is great to have him home and right now all is perfect in the world. Thanks to all of you that have been here and called with your love and concern. We are blessed to be surrounded by so many great people, even if some of you are farther away than others we have felt of your love.

They meet at last

Today we brought baby Ezra home and Trevi was able to meet her little brother. Trevi could see him through the window at the hospital but she could not get any closer because it is RSV season. Trevi wanted to hold him right away and said that she loved him so much. He is doing very well and sleeping all the time, except for when he eats, which he is very good at as well.
