It has been a grueling day for Tessa but it is all worth it because she has the most beautiful baby! Baby Easton was born at 6:25 pm (?) weighing 8 pounds 13 ounces (you know we don't make em' little) and he is 21 inches long! Tessa was having labor pains for almost three full days and this morning they let her stay at the hosptial because she was finally at a 4. She did well until this afternoon when her epidural wore off and she was feeling every contraction. She was a trooper and stuck it out only to find out when she was a 9 at 5:30 p.m. that the baby was posterior. Both momma and baby had had it so they elected for a C-section. They had to put Tessa out because she could feel every cut. But finally Easton made his grand appearance and he is so so cute! Enjoy the pictures! We love you Tessa and Easton!!

Ogden Half Marathon
I am about a week late on this one but it will do. Last Saturday Heather and I got up at 4:00 to drive to Ogden and run the half marathon. It was a great experience, but I think it was a bit close to doing the Grand Canyon. I probably should have allowed more than a week to recover from that killer hike. So I was sore when I started and woke up Sunday feeling less sore than when I started the half on Saturday. That just goes to show the best way to recover from a long run is to run again! I am glad that I did it and since I will be in Logan for the summer and not in the deadly heat of Phoenix I am thinking I would like to do some more races, maybe another half,or a biathlon or maybe even a triathlon. So any of you girls that are up there if you are game you just let me know! Keep in mind I do these things for the sake of finishing I have no aspirations to actually race! I have no pictures to show as of right now because Heather has them and she is on a cruise so maybe I will post them later.

I hope they call me on a mission...
My little brother Alex just received his mission call to the Preston, England Mission. I am so excited and proud of him for making this decision to go on a mission. He is such a good and deeply caring person. He is so sensitive to others and aware of their feelings, he will make a great missionary. I am proud of him for making this decision for himself and not for anyone else. I look up to him for the great qualities that he possesses as a person and I love that he is not disillusioned to the fact that the mission will be hard. I love that he wants to go for all the right reasons and and still knows that there is so much that he doesn't know and he doesn't pretend to know it all. I love him so much and want him to know that I am proud of him for being himself and doing what makes him happy, which has always been doing the right thing. He knows that he will be a better person for making this decision and that his life will not be what it could if he doesn't go. I just want to say way to go for him, it has been hard work getting to this point and he should be happy with himself!

The Grand Canyon
This weekend I packed up the two little ones and went to the Grand Canyon to meet up with my parents, Alex and his "special friend" Cami. We really missed Ryan but it is finals week, no fun for him!! We had a great time and did a killer hike. We went down the Kaibab trail to the river, over to Phantom Ranch and then up Bright Angel for a total of 16.5 miles! I am more sore than I was when I ran the Ogden Marathon last year. We left at 5:00 a.m. and came out of the Canyon at 2:00 p.m. Cami and I beat my Dad and Alex out and my mom stayed with the kids back at the hotel. Two years ago Ryan did this same hike with my Dad and Alex and was complaining and I really didn't give him much sympathy, but now I really empathize with him! Trevi also had a great time camping. She slept in the tent at the campsite. She really loves camping! Ezra, me and mom stayed back at the hotel (for Ezra's sake of course). We had a great time and I am sure I will forget all about how sore I am right now just in time to do it again next year!

97th Percentile!
Today Trevi and Ezra went to the doctor for a well check and both are doing very well. Ezra now weighs 14 lbs 7oz and is 25-1/4 inches long which puts him in the 97th percentile for both height and weight! I knew he was big that just didn't realize what a big boy he is. Here are some new pictures of the big guy.

Happy Birthday Trevi!!!
Today is Trevi's Birthday and she is three years old! I can't believe that she is so old. We had a birthday party for her yesterday at our house and all her friends were able to come. We combined birthdays with her friend Lauren because they are just a few days apart and thought it would be fun and it was! Trevi got a new sandbox for her birthday which will be great because she was always digging in the mud and playing with the rocks. We love our little girl so much and can't believe that she is not so little any more!

Ezra's Blessing
Today was a very special day. Ryan blessed Ezra today and our friends and family were there to support and participate. I feel so blessed to have two great kids and the spirit was amazing today. I am so grateful for Ryan, he is a great daddy and such an amazing man. I am so happy that my kids have him to look to and our great extended family that love them so much. So much love was felt today and thanks to all of you that support us whether you are near or far.
