Playdate with Papa

Papa had a conference in town and then we got to play when the work was done. On Saturday we started off the day with a hike up Red Rock Canyon. It is just a few miles up from where we live and it is beautiful up there. It is the perfect stretch of road for good bike ride or a long run and lots of beautiful scenery along the way. The kids did great and hiked around for a good hour plus. But, true to form, Ezra wanted to be carried the last stretch which just happened to be uphill

It was 90 degrees this weekend so we decided to hit up the pool at the Red Rock Hotel, which just happens to be less than a mile from our house. It was so nice to get some sun and swim. The kids loved it. It felt great to swim again, we really miss having a pool in the backyard!!
We LOVE it when our papa comes to visit! Thanks for a fun weekend!!
We do not discriminate so please come for a visit, it won't disappoint.

Love me some Vitamin D!!
(Yes, I know a need a new swimsuit. I will get one next season when I am post, post baby!)

Time with Daddy...Precious

I am sure you all LOVE hearing about how busy Ryan is. Truth is we knew what we were in for when we went down this path....more particularly the Surgical path. I full-heartedly support him in what he is doing and truth be told I thought it would be much worse (don't get me wrong he is working his tail off). I have to say that I am grateful for this experience in residency that we are having because I really, really APPRECIATE the time we do get to spend with Ryan. I think it is making us a better family. I am grateful for what he does and he is grateful for me and I know it.

Anyway...one of our favorite things to do is just to walk (or drive if I am feeling lazy) to this awesome park. It is great to just sit and talk and let the kids run and run and run...then we go home and put them to sleep. On these nights they sleep especially well.
Everyone told me that having a girl first would be so great because she would be tons of help. They were right! Trevi is the best help ever. She loves her brothers so much and helps with everything from bottles, to diapers, and even snacks.
This boy really thinks he is Superman and he is FAST!

Isn't his smile great?!

Coming and Going

(This is braving the airport with 3 kids, minus a husband. I survived.)

Lots of coming and going around here. Since August we have made two visits to Arizona, two visits to Northern UT, two visits to St. George, one visit to Disneyland and lots of playing here in Vegas. It seems like I am always gearing up to go somewhere.

Trevi is off track this whole month, but I am looking forward to her going back next week. Then in a few weeks it will be time for the wedding! We are so, so excited for the wedding!!!

My goal is to be caught up by the end of the week...

My Posse

"Through service to others, we develop a Christlike love and we experience joy. Service teaches patience and long-suffering as well as gentleness, goodness, and faith."
--Merrill J. Bateman

(I can't believe how big they are and that there are THREE of them. Love it.)

Oh yes they are...

Alex & Cami are engaged!! Yep, he has been home almost 3 weeks and they are getting married!! Words can't express how much we love her and they are AWESOME together. Congrats you guys we love you so much!!

The engagement was a family affair. Alex and Cami met close to 13 years ago at Providence Elementary School so that is where Alex decided to ask her to marry him. He had 13 roses that had things he loved about Cami on them. Alex brought Cami to the swings and we were all behind the school. Then we sent the kids out one by one with the roses until all of them were given to Cami. Then my mom and Cami's mom brought out some red roses and the ring. Alex got on one knee and she said YES!

Thanks for letting us be apart of this amazing moment!

Trip to Zion

This last weekend Ryan had a few days off (which felt like Christmas) so we headed to St. George and Zion National Park. Friday night we went to a Pineview football game to watch my cousin cheer. Saturday we headed up to Zion for some hiking.

We forgot Trey's hat but this little get-up ended up being much more fun. I love this little boy so much.

Trevi loves to hike and Trey worked himself right to sleep.

Thanks to this little truck Ezra walked the whole way. He normally likes to be held whenever something requires effort on his part. We just kept telling him to find the next rock to drive his truck on. It worked like a charm and he never got carried once!

Lower Emerald Pool

Hiking with 3 kids makes for a tired daddy. It was so great to be able to spend some great quality time with Ryan.
