Sledding

A few days after Christmas we decided to go sledding. Trevi was so excited at the thought of it. It took us about 2 hours to find all our gear, sleds, etc. Then once we were all put together and ready to go 2-1/2 hours had passed. We loaded into the truck and found a hill close to Nana and Papa's house. Ezra went down the hill twice and hated it. (What can I say the kid was born in Arizona, 55 is cold here). Trevi did have fun but was done after about 15 minutes. My mom started laughing at us when we walked back into the house 15 minutes later for hot chocolate.

But later on the way back home to AZ we asked Trevi what was her favorite part of the trip and she said sledding! So it was worth it!!

Trevi was so excited to go!

Ezra getting all put together.

This is us once we were ready to go. Finally!!

After sledding Trevi and Ryan attempted to make a snowman. The did succeed in making one that stood about 12" high. The snow wasn't the best for snowman making.

Merry Christmas

It felt very much like Christmas this year with all the snow and puffy coats we needed! Christmas Eve we had Ryan's parents over to my parent's house for dinner and Trevi and I made sugar cookies for Santa earlier in the day.

Christmas morning Uncle Braden made his way into town and we opened presents and had breakfast at Nana and Papa B's house. We got to talk to Alex on his mission. He is doing so great and he talks so cute in his proper English. Easton and Ezra loved all the trucks and Trevi has so much fun opening all her pink presents. Then we got dressed and headed over to Grandpa and Grandma Jones' house.

All the cousins were there and we opened presents and had a wonderful dinner. Then, we headed over to my Grandparents house to meet up with my mom's family - The Nixons - for annual Christmas party. The Nixons never disappoint when it comes to good times.

That night there was a crazy blizzard and everyone was heading out of town. Thankfully they all made it home safely but it was still scary.

Good times at G&G Jones house.

The boys checking out Elmo.

Trevi was so much fun this year. Notice how Santa knows to wrap all her presents in pink!

The boys went right for the trucks and it took them a minute to rip into the wrapped presents.

We MATCHED!!!

I can't even believe it as I am writing this but we MATCHED in VEGAS!! Actually we were still asleep when Heather called and told us she heard about the match (but she didn't spill the beans). So Ryan and I got online and checked it out and we were both stunned to say the least!! We honestly thought we were headed for deferment so didn't even think of today as a special day. This is so great because Ryan got his surgical spot that he has wanted ever since we started on this road. I just can't believe how proud I am of him and all his hard work it really paid off!

Everywhere he went he was being told just to be grateful for a spot in surgery and so we tried to keep level heads about the whole process. We are so thrilled and still in shock!!

**For those of you who are totally confused this means Ryan will be working his butt off in Las Vegas for the next 5 years!

Hawaii

A few days after Thanksgiving we all met up again in Hawaii. The weather was great and so was the company. The kids loved the beach and swimming. We were able to go on an awesome snorkeling excursion and Trevi snorkled right along with the adults. We visited the lava fields and some beautiful gardens and waterfalls. I think we were quite a spectacle walking around with three crazy kids, one newborn and me, obviously pregnant!
My parents took Trevi to Utah with them so Ryan and I had just Ezra on the flight both ways and he did really well with a few moments of crazy thrown in there.

Thanks to Nana and Papa for a fun vacation and an opportunity to spend some quality time with the family!!

Thanksgiving

This year my side of the family made the trek to AZ for Thanksgiving. We had a really great time! It was so great to have everyone together (minus the missionary). We are going to be spending lots of time together in the coming weeks...Aloha.

Ready to eat! (I made that dress Trevi is wearing watch for an opportunity to win one soon...).

Let's eat!

Getting dinner ready. Trevi helped me with the rolls and she did a really great job.

The men doing their part to help get dinner on the table (keeping kids away). Uncle Braden catching up on some sleep...night owl!

Thanksgiving Feast!

Nana and the boys.

Nixon just can't get any cuter or nicer. I just want him all the time!

Hot Tub!! (Okay not too hot so as to not cook the little one in my belly.)

Partners in crime. They are serious fun together!

Ezra Gone Wild

Saturday morning we heard Ezra earlier than we were ready to get up. He is really good to play for a while so after about 30 minutes we went in to get him and this is what we found!! He has never taken off a piece of clothing by himself before and all the sudden he manages to get everything including the diaper off. This is the beginning of the end, next he will probably tackle climbing out of the crib and then there will be a naked baby greeting me every morning.

Today at nap time Ryan checked on him and told me to go see how "cute" he was. So I walk into his room and there Ezra is again asleep, buck naked and spread eagle in his crib. He must have good bladder control because no pee (or worse)...yet.
