Cruisin Kid-Free

Hooray!! Ryan and I took a real vacation without the kids and it was heavenly! We didn't really do anything after med school graduation because Trey was so small. But to be perfectly honest those last few months of school were pretty great. Intern year was a beast and I feel much more deserving of a vacation for surviving this year than all of medical school!

Cabo.
We went ziplining here and of course you couldn't take your camera. We did some hiking and repelling as well. It was fun to go do something like that with Ryan!

Mazatlan.

I just love him. Seriously, married for 7-1/2 years, undergrad, medical school, surgical residency -- I love him and respect him more than ever. It's nice to be part of a team =)

The ship. We were gone for 7 days. We worked really hard on doing nothing.

Ryan participating in this crazy Cruise Ship game. It was hilarious!

This was our table and we loved them. One of these ladies was a Utah State grad! I really love older couples, especially fun ones and these guys were!

We drove from the port in LA straight to AZ to pick up the kids from Papa and Nana' s new house in Cave Creek. We stayed there for a few days and played with the kids.

I can't thank my parents enough for watching our kids. I didn't worry like I thought I might. My parents offered to babysit, we didn't even have a vacation planned when they did. Thanks so much for taking such good care of them and loving them. I feel so lucky to have my parents and I am always amazed at how hands-on they are with my kids. What a blessing.

Trevi's Dance Review

Trevi had her dance review on June 18th and 19th. This girl really loves to be on the stage. At her dress rehearsal she came off the stage and said, "that was SO much fun I want to do it again!" She was beaming about the whole experience, not to mention she did a great job!

My pretty little girl. She is getting SO big. First grade is just a few months away!

Nana and Papa flew in for the show and then took the kids for a whole week to AZ!

Utah Trip

We made a quick trip to Utah at the beginning of June. Trevi is on year-round school so she only had the first part of June off. It was great to see family as always. I can't believe how green Logan is, maybe I have just been living in the desert too long. We saw Grandparents, played with cousins, I ran a half marathon and we just enjoyed family.
Trevi, Ezra, Easton and Trey with Great-Grandma Beverly. It was so much fun to see these guys running around the same yard that Tessa and I used to play in as kids too!

Within 10 minutes of us arriving at Tessa's house Nixon broke his arm! It was so sad and scary for a minute when we thought he might need surgery. I don't think we are a good-luck charm -- last summer when we were visiting Easton broke his arm. Sweet boys.

Trey with Great-Grandpa Bert.

We went to Wheeler farm with Tessa, the boys and Tiff and her kids. It was great to have the kids run. I don't know what this is in the air but it was all over and looked like it was snowing.

Trey with his girl friend Reese.
I love that Tiff has kids the same ages as both mine and Tessa's. It would be too perfect if we could all just live in the same neighborhood. We will just have to settle for visits home.

All the boys. Tessa will add one more boy to this clan in just a few months! Trevi is the lone girl.

Ezra with the some of the Jones cousins. We got to watch Sawyer and Jeremy play baseball. We sure love to see them when we can.

I ran the Bear Lake Half Marathon with Cami and Alex. Carly (Cami's little sis) and Blake ran the 10k as well. It was really fun doing it all together. Alex and Cami pulled the half marathon off with just a few weeks of training. I am so proud of them. I hope they catch the running bug and do more of them with me. I had a goal of running it in under two hours and I did with 30 seconds to spare!! Alex took 3rd in his age group!

Poor Nana, all she wants is one good picture with all of her grand kids and this is probably the best one. At least it's entertaining!

Of course Trevi is always up for a picture with Nana.

Thanks for a fun week! It always goes by too fast.
